I am a writer at heart. I love to tell stories and am always energized when I experience the power they have to connect people.

A well-told story can transport you somewhere new and make you feel connected to people you’ve never met. It can highlight the shared experiences of people living seemingly opposite lives.

I pride myself on finding ways to build that bridge of connection in every piece I write. Whether an article is meant to be straight news or fun and fluffy, I always remember the humans on the other side of it. I write to them where they are, keeping my work fresh and accessible while always stretching to improve.

I love writing about books (I’m a contributing writer for Brightly, a website dedicated to raising kids who love to read), parenting, and inspiring women. I excel at essays and feature writing, but I’m open to discussing working on just about anything.

In 2021, I won three Excellence in Writing awards from the National School Public Relations Association for the following pieces:
